Cyrstal to Crystal... Venom to Anti...

Hello! This isn't a normal update as I've not given any new DC figurines the marvel makeover. Instead I thought I'd share some commissions with ya etc...

First up, I was looking at my figurines recently and I saw Crystal and I am still disappointed with her. She's a great character and we got a lame, plain figurine to represent her! So I got the clay and made her in the way I think would improve her! Wotcha think....?

Crystal

On the commissions side I got another request from Marvelhero. This time he wanted Anti-Venom. So here he is:

Anti-Venom

Phantasm has recieved massive feedback. I'm glad an unknown has gone down so well! The poor one hit wonder wasn't around very long though in the MU. As you know this guy appeared in the Marvel comic: Marvel Premiere #43, where he faced off against Paladin. The whole story is basically a mass brawl! The end of the comic of course sees Phantasm's end by the hands of Paladin!

Phantasm

Next time see the fate of DC's Creeper and I'll share some blog stats with you too!!

The Phantom Menace... Marvel style!

As always the DC range continues to be transformed into yet more unknown Marvel characters. This time I took Spectre from DC and clipped, filed and painted away until a marvel villain emerged... His name is: Phantasm! He made his first and last appearence in Marvel Premiere #43 (August, 1978).

For me Spectre's pose was perfect for Phantasm! I mean Phantasm's powers are mainly through his hands/touch! His touch or 'aura' is described to burn like acid! Ouch!

In my display

On the commission side I made another 90's costumed Rogue for my good friend Woza!

Next week it's the turn of DC's Creeper! He's going to be a challenge but I think I've got his days numbered! Also I will share some blog stats with you all! Some of it is quite unreal..!?! Look out for a new commission too!!

Up there on the rooftop....??

Finally I have given the Rooftop Batman figurine the Marvel makeover! Again as usual the Marvel replacement isn't a too familiar one. The guy in his place is Nightwatch. He's Marvels answer to Images Spawn.

Here's he is

I also thought I'd share a photo of some of my customs altogether.

Not all but most of them

Next time I have Spectres fate... Commission pieces... So stay tuned!

On your marks.... Get SET....

This is it! My biggest scratch built figurine! He is my 4th and sits nicely alongside Shuma-Gorath, Brood and Doop. This guy is called Set! He is an enemy of Conan, Dr. Strange, Quasar to name afew. He's pretty unknown (just the way I like it). But to find out more information on him check this link: http://www.comicvine.com/set/29-29092/

The progession of Set

Sculpting Set was a challenge as I brought a new type of Fimo clay. It took an age to dry and then I had other problems with heads, teeth etc.. but it was all worth is as I am 100% pleased with him. Size wise check the photo below of Set against Galactus! I had to re-size the two below! So they are alittle distorted.

It's SetAnother Angle

Here is the size photo of Set.

Get into the Tempo!

First up Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2009 is going to be a top one! I'm starting 2009 off with my latest DC to Marvel figurine. Donna Troy was the DC character to face the chop and I again went for an X-character. So here she is... The villainous Tempo!

Tempo in with some other figurines

My camera again hasn't really picked up on the orange and gold shading. Gotta sort out my settings!

Also over the two week break I've not done anything to do with customs really. So the same went for my 4th scratch build! But not to fear I have posted below a sneak peak photo of one of this beasts eyes....... Remember he's a biggy and has set me back with some problems!

Who is this?

Next time it's back to sorting out commissions and the next DC character to face my files is: Spectre!
